Update!

Well I have not blogged for a bit so I will catch you up. Jaxon does not really like sleeping in his crib. So I let him fall asleep every night on the bed. When I wake up to get him...he is underneath the bed. Weird.....I am assuming he falls off the bed at night because every morning I have to drag him out from underneath the bed...along with his blankie he takes with him. (sign)... On the other part..Jaxon is learning new words every day. He can now add to his vocabulary.....Jaxon.... please.....thank you....up......hi...... Its so cute. I usually will say Jaxon.....say jaxon...and he will pause...and wont say it. But If I have a cracker in my hand and bribe him he usually will say what I ask him to say. so cute!!!! Joel is doing good. He is gaining weight so well that I am a little worried he is be a chunk...but chunkie babies are cute so I guess I should not worrie. I put jaxon in some shorts the other day and oh my gosh he has the cutest bum and chubby legs! I can't wait till summer!

Joel & Jaxon!

Joel is doing well. I can't believe he is already past a week old. He is sleeping and eating and pooping. As for Jaxon......he can talk!.....he can say...baby, mom, dad, jacob, bye bye (and then waves his hand) and he can say bubble and hi. cute hu. and when he says them they are not mumbles. they are clear as day..it's crazy. but we are all doing great.

Joel Hafen

Our little bundle of joy is here! If you want all the gory details just ask me. I won't post them.=) My labor went great. The only really pain I had was my contractions were intense...but other than that it went good. I was in labor total of 5 hours! It went so so SO fast. But I was glad it did. Joel was born January 8, 2010 at 1:32 p.m. He is 6 pounds 6 oz and 19 1/2 inches long. He is perfect. All his tests came back great. He has good hearing and had no jaundice. This is the only time I will brag....I got NO strechmarks! yippi! Jaxon is doing great. He is very curious about Joel but he does not try to touch him. He is more just interested in his little wimpering cryes. I think jaxon will do great as a big brother. I am just very grateful to have another little boy. They are so much fun. All my life I grew up knowing that I could not have kids and to have two little boys is just the greatest thing. I couldn't ask for more. Thanks for everyone who called and asked how were all doing. A big thanks to my mom who watched Jaxon for us. She also made us a yummy dinner to take home with us as we picked up jaxon to take home. Thanks MOM! We are all doing great. I just want to thank everyone that has brought us dinners...food and presents for us and joel. We really appriciate it.

Joel is COMMING!!!!!!

I had my 39 week apointment this morning and everything looks great. I only gained a half of a pound so I am going in tomorrow at 6 a.m. to be enduced eary! They want me to pop Joel out so I can start feeding him bottles to get his weight up. The doctor said he most likley will be little around 5 pounds and 13 oz. so he will be a tiny thing. So I went out today and bought a couple of premie outfits. Everthing looks good though...I was kinda sad when my doctor told me I would most likley need to bottle feed him to get his weight up because I have not been gaining much weight. I wanted to try to breatfeed again...atleast TRY....with jaxon I only could pump for two weeks and then I had to go to the bottle so I am kinda dissapointed but what can you do? Wish me luck and I hope all goes well. I hope this delivery is just as smooth as jaxon was...but then again...my sisters was horrible so we will just hope for the best! My next posting you will see a new tiny baby! Joel Paul Hafen~ yippi.

News Update

I had my doctors appointment on Monday and everything went good except for I was measuring small once again. So they wanted me to do an ultrasound on Tuesday morning just to make sure everything was good. I went to the ultrasound and everything looks good. I am measuring 2 weeks behind. The baby is 5 pounds 7 oz. so hopefully if I keep stuffing my face I can get Joel to gain another pound by time I deliver! then he can be a 6 pound baby...witch is still small for a baby. But I am trying the best I can to eat. They said they wouldn't most likely start my labor a week early now that I am measuring small so that's out of the door...but they said If I don't have Joel by my due date and they will start me. They said since this is my second kid they won't make me go past my due date. Which I was happy about. So no matter what Joel will be here in about 15 days!!! ahhhhhhhh I hope I am ready by then.

BEST news EVER!!!!!

Great news. I just had my 35 week visit with my doctor and he says everything looks great. I gained 5 pounds....thanks to the thanksgiving week a couple of weeks ago so I am now back on good terms with my doctor. I weight 132 pounds. And then my doctor spoke the magic words...........he says...."Janiel...everything is looking good...would you like to be enduced a week early"??? WOULD I......I said that would be the best christmas/birthday present EVER!!!!!!! He said if my next week appointment went well as todays did...that we can schedule me to be enduced a week early!!!! I was so happpy. So lets hope everything goes great this week. I would love to be enduced because they enduced me with jaxon and I just feel better about being enduced because I know what to exspect and all. But my mom is freakin out because she says she has heard bad things about being enduced early...but it's only a week. I just told her that If the doctor asked me If I wanted to be enduced a week early...then its obvious that It shouldn't do any harm to joel and I. I don't think a doctor would appraise something that would be harmful to me and Joel. Soooo my mom can worrie all she wants...I am excited. I hate the last month of being prego and the sooner joel gets here the better because I am one of those girls that does not like to be prego. If this next week I can gain just 5 pounds I will weight exsackly or how ever you spell that word...I will weight the same now as I did the day I had jaxon. So I should have just barley a 6 pound baby. So lets hope all goes well. and Hopefully I can win my sister on having my baby first! =)
